Conceived and adapted by Ernest Zulia and David Caldwell
Winfield Community Theatre is continuing our tradition of a special holiday program. As with The Barn's "An Old Fashioned Christmas", this show will highlight local musicians performing holiday music. This will be followed by a performance of Robert Fulgham's "Uh-Oh, Here Comes Christmas". The evening will conclude with a reading from the Bible and singing of Silent Night.
Based on Robert Fulgham's stories, "Uh-Oh, Here Comes Christmas" use storytelling and sketches to highlight the joys and tribulations of modern Christmas. From the on going trials of a poinsettia that won't die, to the Christmas pageant, to the holiday meal, to the need to simplify and focus our celebration of Christmas, Mr. Fulgham's essays bring us all back to the wonder of the holiday season. Simply staged, "Uh-Oh, Here Comes Christmas" is a wonderful way to start the holiday and share with family and friends the joys of Christmas.
